Credibility
The proof and track record that let a brand's claims be verified.
Aingworth Concept
Full explanation
Credibility is what can be verified: the proof, track record, and validation that let people and AI systems trust the claims a brand makes about itself.
Why this matters
Claims without proof are just assertions, and assertions are the easiest thing for a system to discount. Credibility is what converts a stated position into something checkable.
Where this sits
Credibility belongs to Recognition & Authority, one of the seven layers of the Aingworth Glossary. What Aingworth believes. Recognition is the outcome; authority is the evidence that makes it possible. These are the terms that belong to Aingworth, most of them first set out in Become the Answer.
