Recognition Triangle
The three conditions of recognition: Clarity, Credibility, and Earned Authority.
Aingworth Framework
Full explanation
The Recognition Triangle is the framework defining the three conditions AI systems use to recognize, cite, and recommend a brand: Clarity, Credibility, and Earned Authority. Recognition forms only where all three hold, and weakens the moment one does not.
Why this matters
It turns a vague worry about AI into three diagnosable conditions. Most brands are strong on one or two corners and quietly weak on the third, and the weak corner is where recognition leaks.
Where this sits
Recognition Triangle belongs to Recognition & Authority, one of the seven layers of the Aingworth Glossary. What Aingworth believes. Recognition is the outcome; authority is the evidence that makes it possible. These are the terms that belong to Aingworth, most of them first set out in Become the Answer.
