Aingworth Concept
Full explanation
An authority signal is a piece of evidence, first-party, third-party, editorial, or institutional, that helps establish a brand's expertise, credibility, or standing within its category.
Why this matters
Signals are what a system actually works with. Expertise that has never been documented, referenced, or published produces no signal at all, however real it is.
Where this sits
Authority Signal belongs to Recognition & Authority, one of the seven layers of the Aingworth Glossary. What Aingworth believes. Recognition is the outcome; authority is the evidence that makes it possible. These are the terms that belong to Aingworth, most of them first set out in Become the Answer.
