Foundational, Signal & Confirmation Assets
Aingworth's taxonomy for what a brand actually needs to build.
Aingworth Concept
Full explanation
Foundational, Signal, and Confirmation Assets are Aingworth's taxonomy for what a brand actually needs to build. Foundational Assets establish the base facts of who a brand is. Signal Assets demonstrate expertise and relevance. Confirmation Assets give AI systems a clean, verifiable record to check claims against, including structured formats such as the Open Knowledge Format.
Why this matters
It replaces the word content with something more precise. Each asset type does a different job, and a brand that only produces one type will always be missing part of the picture.
Where this sits
Foundational, Signal & Confirmation Assets belongs to Recognition & Authority, one of the seven layers of the Aingworth Glossary. What Aingworth believes. Recognition is the outcome; authority is the evidence that makes it possible. These are the terms that belong to Aingworth, most of them first set out in Become the Answer.
